Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or higher and 1 year maintenance experience, or 12 college credit hours and 6 months maintenance experience.
• Completion of EPW Utility Plant Operator Trainee Program and Class D Water/Wastewater license expected within 6–30 months.
• CDL may be required for some positions; drug/alcohol testing may apply for safety-sensitive roles.

Responsibilities

• Assist in operation, maintenance, and repair of water or wastewater treatment systems and equipment.
• Monitor and control treatment processes via SCADA and ensure compliance with permits.
• Calibrate laboratory equipment and perform required tests per regulations.
• Operate pumps, valves, meters, and other processing equipment; read gauges and meters.
• Perform preventive maintenance and minor electrical/mechanical repairs; replace parts as needed.
• May perform groundskeeping, general labor, and housekeeping duties as assigned.
