Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Water / Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator for a government contract based in Kings Bay, Georgia. The role involves operating and controlling water and wastewater treatment processes, monitoring meters, and maintaining logs to ensure safe and compliant water services.

The candidate must hold a Wastewater Operator license, obtain a Class II Water Operator license within 4 months, and possess at least 12 months of maintenance mechanic experience, with readiness for a Secret

Qualifications

• Must have maintenance mechanic experience.
• Must possess a valid state driver’s license.
• Must provide evidence of a minimum of 12 months experience in maintenance mechanic field.
• Must have Wastewater Operator license.
• Must possess or obtain Class II Water Operator license within 4 months of hire.
• Must wear hard-toed safety shoes meeting ASTM F2413-05.

Responsibilities

• Operate and control water treatment equipment to purify and clarify water for human use and industrial use.
• Dumps chemicals and adjusts automatic dosing for disinfection and clarification.
• Operate sewage treatment and sludge processing equipment to control flow and processing of sewage.
• Record data and monitor meters, gauges, and sample results.
• Maintain logs and give directions to attendants in routine operations and maintenance.
