Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Boiler Plant Mechanic to support a government contract based in Kings Bay, GA. Under direction, you will tend boilers, chillers, air compressors and related controls to meet specifications.

You will also perform maintenance, repairs, and chemical treatment as required, documenting operations in the system. The role requires ability to troubleshoot systems, use various tools, and comply with safety and environmental policies.

Qualifications

High school education or equivalent.
4 years of repair, operation, and overhaul experience for boiler plant and related equipment.
Must understand chemical treatment of boilers and cooling towers.
Must possess standard tools of the trade.
Must have a valid state driver’s license.

Responsibilities

Operate and tend boilers to produce steam or hot water and run related auxiliaries.
Maintain logs of operations and perform preventative maintenance and safety checks.
Perform repairs and overhauls on central heating plants and related equipment.
Assist government personnel during annual certification inspections.
Comply with safety, quality, and environmental requirements.
