Job summary

Amentum seeks a Water / Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator to support a government contract based at Kings Bay, Georgia. The role covers operating treatment plants, monitoring controls, handling chemicals, and ensuring safe water for consumption and industrial use.

Candidates must hold a Wastewater Operator license and a Class II Water Operator license, have at least 12 months of maintenance experience, a valid driver’s license, and be able to obtain a Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• High School education or equivalent.
• Must possess Wastewater Operator license.
• Must possess or obtain and maintain Class II Water Operator license within 4 months of hire.
• Minimum 12 months experience in maintenance mechanic field.
• Must possess the tools of their trade.
• Must have a valid state driver’s license.
• Must wear safety shoes meeting ASTM F2413-05.
• Must obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Operate and control water treatment equipment to purify and distribute water.
• Monitor control panels, adjust valves, pumps, and gauges to regulate flow and quality.
• Test water and wastewater samples, record results, and maintain logs.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on pumps, motors, and tanks.
• Ensure compliance with safety and security requirements for Kings Bay facilities.
