Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED, five years in water/wastewater ops with two years in a lead role, and a valid Texas Class C license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; five years in water/wastewater ops and maintenance.
• Two years in a supervisory/lead capacity.
• Texas Class C driver's license by date of appointment.
• If assigned to Water Plant: Class B Water Certificate of Competency by application.
• If assigned to Wastewater Plant: Class B Wastewater Certificate of Competency by application.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate water or wastewater plant operations and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Inspect and monitor treatment processes; respond to emergencies and adjust operations as needed.
• Maintain records and preventive maintenance programs; supervise staff and assign tasks.
• Prepare and maintain logs and reports; manage inventory and supplies.
