Job summary

Commonwealth Engineers, Inc. seeks a Water/Wastewater/Stormwater Professional Engineer for our Bowling, KY office. The role covers planning, design, and project execution for municipal water and wastewater facilities, with emphasis on stormwater and pump station projects.

Ideal candidates have PE licensure in KY or IN (reciprocity okay), strong communication skills, and experience with WaterGems/Visual Hydraulics. Growth opportunities abound within a creative, multi-talented team.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil Engineering or similar; advanced degree a plus.
• P.E. licensure in Indiana or Kentucky or reciprocity.
• Experience with WaterGems and Visual Hydraulics is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Mentor junior team members.
• Strong work ethic and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Work across all phases of municipal water/wastewater/stormwater projects including conceptual/feasibility evaluations and design report preparation.
• Develop contract documents, assist with bidding, and support construction engineering services.
• Experience with pump stations, collection systems, water distribution, and treatment plants is ideal.
• Contribute to solving complex water/wastewater engineering challenges.
