Job summary

Nexus Water Group is seeking a Field Operator to collect samples and monitor water and wastewater systems, including effluent and flows. The role involves calibration of meters, general maintenance, and assisting with repairs at facilities across sites.

You will be exposed to outdoor conditions and may require irregular hours, with travel between systems to gain experience toward operator certification. Training and certifications within set timelines are supported.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED; some specialized courses or on-the-job training in water and wastewater treatment are advantageous.
• No directly related experience required; one to two years of related experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collects samples and performs routine monitoring and testing of water and wastewater, including effluent samples, flows, and settable solids.
• Calibrates and logs pH meter and DO meter; checks chlorine residuals.
• Assists with general maintenance duties at facilities; cleans equipment and work areas; operates belt press.
• Respond to and investigate customer service calls; completes paperwork timely.
• Job may require irregular hours, shift work, weekends, and on-call.
