Job summary

Nexus Water Group in Pflugerville, TX is seeking a Water-wastewater Operator in Training to perform routine checks on treatment systems and assist in operations and maintenance. Responsibilities include collecting samples, monitoring water quality, and responding to customer service inquiries.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, some mechanical experience, and a valid driver’s license.

This position operates mainly in the Pflugerville area, with a Monday to Friday schedule, but may require shift work and on-call duties.

Qualifications

• Some mechanical work experience preferred.
• TX - TCEQ Water Operator Class D preferred.
• TX - TCEQ Wastewater D preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine checks of treatment systems.
• Assist in operations, maintenance, and customer service.
• Collect and test water/wastewater samples.
• Perform facility maintenance duties as needed.
• Respond to customer service calls and document work tasks.

Skills

Mechanical work experience

Ability to operate back-hoe and/or track-hoe

Ability to read meters and gauges

Good verbal and written communication

Mathematical skills for dosing calculations

Education

H.S Diploma

Valid Driver's License
