Job summary

The City of Anna, Texas is seeking a skilled Water/Wastewater Operator to ensure safe, efficient operation, maintenance, and control of the city’s water and wastewater systems.

Responsibilities include performing tests, recording data, assisting Lead Operator, monitoring SCADA, and carrying out preventive maintenance; candidates must have a high school diploma and a valid Class C license, plus a TCEQ license in water or wastewater within 18 months.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and at least 1 year water/wastewater experience.
• Valid Class C driver's license is required at hire.
• Must obtain a TCEQ water and wastewater license within 18 months of hire or promotion.
• Pre-employment drug screen, criminal background check, and MVR check.

Responsibilities

• Assist Lead Operator with standardized testing and data collection for water/wastewater systems.
• Record daily data and maintain monitoring records as required by regulatory agencies.
• Monitor SCADA systems, adjust flows and chemical dosages, and respond to alarms and issues.
• Perform preventive maintenance on pumps, valves, and related equipment; keep facilities orderly.
