Job summary

The City of Anna, Texas is seeking a dedicated individual to operate, maintain, and control the city’s water and wastewater systems, including production, treatment, storage, distribution and collection facilities. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED plus two years of experience, with a valid Class C driver's license and at least one applicable TCEQ license.

Licenses and trainings may be pursued after hire, with several timelines outlined.

Qualifications

High school or GED plus two (2) years of water or wastewater treatment experience.
Must possess a valid Class C Driver’s license when hired.
Must possess at least one C or higher TCEQ License in water or wastewater treatment.
Ability to obtain TCEQ B water and B wastewater within 18 months of hire or promotion.
Ability to obtain Class D Water Operator License issued by the TCEQ within 6 months of hire date.
Ability to obtain Class C Groundwater Operator License within two years of hire date.
Customer Service Inspector (CSI) or Backflow License is preferred.
Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, criminal background check and MVR check.
