Job summary

City of Anna, TX seeks an entry-level Water/Wastewater Operator to support water production, treatment, storage and distribution. You will assist the Lead Operator with standardized tests, record data, and help maintain the Water Monitoring Plan to meet TCEQ requirements.

Responsibilities include sampling, pressure and level monitoring, basic preventive maintenance, and responding to customer concerns about water quality. A valid driver's license and basic computer skills are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED plus one year of water or wastewater treatment experience.
• Familiarity with basic water quality testing and data recording.
• Ability to obtain TCEQ C water and C wastewater licenses within 18 months.

Responsibilities

• Assist Lead Operator in testing water and wastewater samples and interpreting results.
• Record daily data and maintain monitoring records per TCEQ requirements.
• Help maintain Water Monitoring Plan and coordinate with sampling contractor as needed.
• Monitor water quality through the SCADA system and adjust dosages and flows.
• Inspect and operate treatment and pumping equipment; perform preventive maintenance.
