Job summary

The City of Anna, Texas is seeking an entry-level Water/Wastewater Technician to support safe and compliant operations of the city’s water systems. You will assist in testing, recordkeeping, and monitoring water quality, while handling equipment and SCADA-related tasks.

Responsibilities include data entry, plan maintenance, routine maintenance, and responding to customer inquiries about water quality. A Class C license and TCEQ license are required or obtainable within 18 months.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 1 year water/wastewater experience.
• Must hold a valid Class C driver’s license at hire.
• Must have at least one TCEQ license in water or wastewater.
• Ability to obtain TCEQ C water and C wastewater within 18 months.

Responsibilities

• Assist Lead Operator with water and wastewater tests (chlorine, pH, turbidity, etc.).
• Record daily data and maintain Monitoring Plan documentation.
• Operate and maintain field and process equipment and SCADA controls.
• Respond to water quality complaints and document investigations.
• Conduct routine maintenance and equipment inspections.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervision.
