Job summary

Woodard & Curran in Missouri is seeking an Operations & Maintenance Technician 1 to inspect and repair sanitary sewer mains and manholes, and to operate a range of heavy equipment such as excavators, loaders, and backhoes. You will assist with customer inquiries and help locate new lines and other related duties.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, 1+ year of relevant experience, knowledge of wastewater systems, and a MO driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent; a mechanical/tech background is a plus.
• At least 1 year relevant experience or equivalent education.
• Knowledge of wastewater collection systems maintenance.
• Class A CDL with Air Brakes and tanker endorsements, or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• NASSCO certification, or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Ability to perform manual labor and lift up to 40 lbs.
• Valid Missouri driver’s license; CDL preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and repair sanitary sewer mains and manholes.
• Operate heavy equipment including excavators, loaders, backhoes, and related gear.
• Assist with responding to and resolving customer inquiries and issues.
• Locate new lines and perform related duties.
• Be able to work in inclement weather and participate in on-call rotations.
