Job summary

Apex Companies, LLC is seeking a Water/Wastewater Operations Manager to lead day-to-day operations, provide technical guidance, and ensure regulatory compliance across multiple client facilities. You will supervise circuit-rider staff, coordinate with project managers and engineers, and travel to sites to optimize system performance.

Qualifications

• Prior experience supervising water or wastewater operators, field staff, maintenance staff, or circuit-rider teams preferred.
• Strong knowledge of water and/or wastewater treatment operations, including treatment processes, pump stations, sampling, and regulatory compliance.
• Current high-level water and/or wastewater operator certification with relevant subclasses preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, schedule, coach, and support water and wastewater staff performing circuit-rider services at multiple client facilities.
• Oversee staffing assignments to ensure operator coverage, site visits, sampling, maintenance, and emergency response support.
• Travel to client facilities to review treatment plants, lift stations, and related infrastructure.
• Review data with operators, project managers, and engineers to ensure compliance and performance.
• Lead operator-in-responsible-charge when required and coordinate with certification holders.
