Job summary

Veolia is seeking an Operations Manager to supervise a team in Idaho, overseeing water and wastewater treatment plant operations, safety training, and regulatory compliance. The role requires coordinating maintenance, managing personnel, and ensuring quality and efficiency in plant processes.

You will lead and develop staff, optimize workflows, and implement emergency plans, while ensuring adherence to safety standards and environmental regulations.

Qualifications

• Degree in a related field; chemistry bonus is a plus.
• 5–7 years in water/wastewater treatment environments with knowledge of operations, maintenance and repair of plant equipment.
• Lead experience or supervisory training with HR, training, performance evaluation and health and safety knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Assigns personnel to shifts and plans daily schedules to operate and maintain treatment facilities.
• Oversees HR functions including hiring, performance appraisals, coaching, salary considerations.
• Prepares work orders and reports using CMMS and generates charts and data submissions.
• Ensures consistent process control, QA procedures, and uniform recordkeeping facility-wide.
• Reviews water reports and analyses for internal use and regulatory requirements.
• Leads safety initiatives and ensures compliance with federal/state standards; addresses issues promptly.
• Maintains maintenance schedules and evaluates equipment to prevent failures.
• Develops action plans for emergencies involving equipment or power failures.
