Job summary

Veolia North America seeks a supervisor to oversee groundwater and treatment operations, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient production across facilities. This role coordinates with departments, regulators, suppliers, and vendors to maintain 70 MGD well field performance.

Responsibilities include budgeting, reporting, staff coaching, time-card oversight, and acting as department manager when needed. Strong communication, analytical, and regulatory knowledge are essential; Idaho certification

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in related technical field; or combination of high school diploma and well treatment courses or related technical field preferred.
• Ability to function in the digital world, using computer, laptop, tablet, smartphone devices and software to communicate and perform and record work.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of public health and safety regulations, i.e. Safe Drinking Water Act regulations.
• Idaho Water Treatment IV Certification, or ability to obtain within one year of accepting role.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Idaho Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Ensures a safe, inclusive, equitable, and diverse workplace environment.
• Coaches, mentors, and develops staff to achieve targeted customer service, water quality, regulatory compliance, and production outcomes.
• Supervises and assigns activities of staff (system operations, maintenance, construction, well field productivity on booster, reservoir, well and pressure regulating station projects, and water quality sampling and analysis) and coordinates those activities with other departments, regulators, suppliers, and vendors.
• Develop departmental plans/budgets for areas of responsibility, perform operations within budget, and monitors area projects to completion.
• Accountable for completeness and accuracy of all digital operational records and governance of supporting systems, and preparing and submitting operating reports.
• Provide consistent and fair performance reviews for new hires and legacy employees on a periodic basis.
• Responsible for operation, maintenance, construction, and water quality activities of 70 MGD well field and integrated control system in accordance with regulatory requirements and Company policies and procedure.
• Review and approve time cards, overtime reports, and emergency call-out incidents.
• Act in the capacity of department manager as needed.
