Job summary

CHA Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Water/Wastewater Hydraulic Modeler to join our Water Team in Blacksburg, VA or Richmond, VA.

You will develop and apply hydraulic models for water distribution and wastewater systems, supporting capacity evaluations, system optimization, and long-term master planning. You should have a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering and at least 3 years of related engineering experience, with hydraulic modeling proficiency and GIS/modeling software like WaterGEMS, SewerGEMS,

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.
Minimum of 3 years of related engineering experience.
EIT certification or PE license preferred.
Hydraulic modeling experience required.
Proficiency with GIS and hydraulic modeling platforms listed.

Responsibilities

Develop, calibrate, validate, and analyze hydraulic models for water distribution and wastewater collection systems.
Perform engineering analyses and prepare technical memoranda, reports, and supporting documentation.
Compile and integrate GIS, field, data to build and maintain accurate models.
Troubleshoot model discrepancies and evaluate alternatives.
Coordinate modeling tasks, schedules, and deliverables with project teams.
Support client meetings, field investigations, and project delivery activities.
