Job summary

HDR is seeking a Water / Wastewater Professional Engineer to join our team, focusing on utility master planning, hydraulic modeling, GIS analysis, and capital project development for water and wastewater systems.

The ideal candidate holds a PE license, a BS in Civil Engineering or equivalent, and 5+ years of experience with municipal water/wastewater projects. Local candidates in Virginia preferred; Vienna, VA is among the possible offices.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent field.
Professional Engineer license recognized by licensing board (PE or P.Eng).
Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in hydraulic modeling and infrastructure engineering design.
Experience with wastewater collection and/or water distribution hydraulic modeling.
Proficiency in ArcGIS Pro, mapping and analysis.

Responsibilities

Lead utility master planning, hydraulic modeling, GIS data analysis and cost/capital project development for water and wastewater systems.
Perform hydraulic modeling calibration and data analysis to support project deliverables.
Interact with clients in meetings and presentations; develop proposal scopes and level of effort estimates.
Provide mentoring and quality assurance/quality control across hydraulic modeling and master planning projects.
