Job summary

The City of Leander is seeking a Crew Leader to supervise a crew and oversee troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of water distribution and wastewater collection systems in compliance with TCEQ rules. The role requires a high school diploma and 3+ years' related experience, with licenses including TCEQ Class “I” and Class “C” water distribution, and a valid Class B CDL.

Responsibilities include scheduling maintenance, coordinating daily tasks, and ensuring safety protocols while working

Responsibilities

• Evaluate daily work assignments and delegate tasks
• Operate heavy machinery and light equipment as required
• Perform maintenance and inspections on equipment
• Repair/replace water and sewer mains, valves, hydrants
• Manage safety protocols and PPE usage
• Work overtime and be on-call as assigned
