Job summary

Aqua America, Inc. is seeking a Facility Operator I to support water production, wastewater treatment, lift and booster stations, and the distribution system in Granbury, TX. You will safely operate and maintain facilities, monitor water quality, and adjust chemical treatment to meet state standards.

Ideal candidates hold a HS diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, and relevant well/licensing credentials. On-call nights and weekends may be required due to 24/7 operations.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED.
• A valid U.S. Driver’s License.
• Minimum license requirement of C Well or Grade I for FO1, must meet dual licensing requirements and have either a B Well or Grade II for FO2, or must meet dual licensing requirements of at least a B Well and Grade II plus have an A Well or Grade III for FO3.
• Familiarity with computers / tablets and basic office programs.
• Ability to read, understand and follow operating instructions.

Responsibilities

• Operates and maintains water production facilities and booster stations.
• Operates and maintains distribution systems including mains, valves, hydrants and service lines.
• Operates and maintains wastewater treatment facilities, lift stations, and sewer collection systems.
• Troubleshoots and repairs service piping and related equipment.
• Performs routine water quality analysis and adjusts chemical treatment to meet standards.
• Completes customer service work orders and updates system documentation.
