Job summary

B in Oklahoma City is seeking an experienced Water/Wastewater Estimator to pursue and plan infrastructure projects, develop accurate estimates, and partner with operations from bid through project handoff. You will evaluate scope, constructability, risk, and cost and contribute to bid reviews, budgets, and handoffs to the project team to ensure successful project execution.

Strong knowledge of water/wastewater construction and self-performed work is essential, along with proficiency in reading

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Experience estimating water and wastewater construction projects.
• Experience with self-performed structural concrete and heavy civil work.
• Strong understanding of construction means, methods, sequencing, and productivity.
• Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and contract documents.
• Strong quantity takeoff, cost analysis, and scope review skills.
• Experience with HCSS, Primavera P6, Bluebeam, and On-Screen Takeoff preferred.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop estimates for water and wastewater facilities, pump stations, process piping, and related infrastructure.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and develop pricing for self-performed labor, materials, and equipment.
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier proposals and ensure scope coverage.
• Evaluate project phasing, staging, logistics, constructability, and sequencing.
• Develop preliminary schedules to support estimating efforts.
• Identify project risks, opportunities, value-engineering ideas, and cost-saving strategies.
• Participate in bid reviews with operations and project management.
• Prepare detailed project budgets and lead estimating-to-project-team handoffs.
• Support subcontractor and supplier buyout following award.
• Partner with operations and project teams to help set projects up for successful execution.
