Job summary

B&B Concrete in Oklahoma City is seeking an experienced Water/Wastewater Estimator to pursue and plan infrastructure projects, developing accurate estimates from bid through handoff. You will work closely with operations and project management to ensure competitive, achievable bids.

You will evaluate scope, constructability, risk, and cost, and you will develop preliminary schedules to support estimating efforts and help set projects up for successful execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
• Experience estimating water and/or wastewater construction projects.
• Experience with self-performed structural concrete and/or heavy civil construction.
• Strong understanding of construction means, methods, sequencing, and productivity.
• Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and contract documents.
• Strong quantity takeoff, cost analysis, and scope review skills.
• Experience with estimating software tools (HCSS, Primavera P6, Bluebeam, OT).

Responsibilities

• Develop estimates for water and wastewater facilities and related infrastructure.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and price self-performed labor, materials, and equipment.
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier proposals.
• Evaluate phasing, scheduling, logistics, constructability, and sequencing.
• Develop preliminary schedules to support estimating efforts.
• Identify risks, opportunities, and cost-saving ideas.
• Lead estimating-to-project handoffs and support buyout after award.
