Job summary

B. is seeking an experienced Water/Wastewater Estimator to pursue and plan water and wastewater infrastructure projects. You will develop accurate estimates and partner with operations from bid through project handoff.

You will evaluate scope, constructability, risk, and cost, not just perform takeoffs, and collaborate with teams to ensure projects are set up for successful execution.

Qualifications

• Experience estimating water and/or wastewater construction projects.
• Experience with self-performed structural concrete and/or heavy civil construction.
• Strong quantity takeoff, cost analysis, and scope review skills.
• Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and contract documents.

Responsibilities

• Develop estimates for water and wastewater facilities and related infrastructure.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and price self-performed labor, materials, and equipment.
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier proposals and ensure scope coverage.
• Evaluate project phasing, staging, logistics, constructability, and sequencing.
• Develop preliminary schedules to support estimating efforts.
• Identify project risks, opportunities, VE ideas, and cost-saving strategies.
• Participate in bid reviews with operations and project management.
• Prepare detailed budgets and lead estimating-to-project handoffs.
• Support subcontractor and supplier buyout following award.
• Partner with operations to set projects up for successful execution.
