Job summary

B&B Concrete Contractors is seeking an experienced Water/Wastewater Estimator to lead estimates for water and wastewater infrastructure projects in Oklahoma City. You will develop accurate estimates, perform quantity takeoffs, and manage pricing for self-performed labor, materials, and equipment.

You will evaluate scope and risk, review subcontractor proposals, and collaborate with operations and project management from bid through handoff to ensure successful project execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in civil engineering or construction management.
• Experience estimating water/wastewater construction projects.
• Experience with self-performed concrete and heavy civil work.
• Strong ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and contracts.
• Strong quantity takeoff, cost analysis, and scope review skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop estimates for water and wastewater facilities, pump stations, piping, and related infrastructure.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and develop pricing for self-performed labor, materials, and equipment.
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier proposals ensuring scope coverage.
• Evaluate project phasing, logistics, constructability, and sequencing.
• Develop preliminary schedules to support estimating efforts.
• Identify project risks, opportunities, VE ideas, and cost-saving strategies.
• Participate in bid reviews with operations and project management.
• Prepare detailed project budgets and handoffs to project teams.
• Support subcontractor and supplier buyout after award.
• Partner with operations and project teams to set up projects for successful execution.
