Job summary

B&B Concrete Contractors is seeking an experienced Water/Wastewater Estimator to join our team. You’ll develop accurate, competitive estimates for water and wastewater infrastructure and collaborate with operations from bid through project handoff.

You’ll evaluate scope, constructability, risk, and cost, not just perform takeoffs, and play a key role in ensuring successful project execution for self-performed work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Experience estimating water and wastewater construction projects.
• Experience with self-performed structural concrete and/or heavy civil construction.

Responsibilities

• Develop estimates for water and wastewater facilities and related infrastructure.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and price self-performed labor, materials, and equipment.
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier proposals to ensure scope coverage.
• Evaluate phasing, staging, logistics, constructability and sequencing.
• Develop preliminary schedules to support estimating efforts.
• Identify risks, opportunities, value engineering ideas and cost-saving strategies.
• Participate in bid reviews with operations and project management.
• Prepare detailed project budgets and lead handoffs to the project team.
• Support subcontractor and supplier buyout following award.
• Partner with operations to set projects up for successful execution.
