Job summary

UEC is seeking a student pursuing a Bachelor's in Civil or Environmental Engineering to assist in design, analysis, and field data collection for water and wastewater projects. You will work with AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, and GIS, supporting calculations, drawings, and cost estimates while coordinating with vendors and regulators.

The role emphasizes rigorous attention to detail, strong communication, and the ability to work both independently and in a team, in an office setting with some site

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
• Proficiency or familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, GIS, and hydraulic modeling software preferred.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and work ethic.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist in design and analysis of water/wastewater facilities, distribution systems, and collection networks.
• Prepare drawings, reports, memos, and specifications.
• Conduct hydraulic modeling, engineering calculations, and quantity take-offs.
• Participate in field investigations, tests, measurements, and site inspections; collect and process field data.
• Contact vendors for budgetary quotes and assist in developing construction cost estimates.
• Support permitting, regulatory compliance documentation, and project scheduling.
• Review design drawings for accuracy and adherence to standards within defined limits.
• Utilize engineering software tools, Microsoft Office applications, and design programs to support project tasks.
• Assume additional responsibilities as needed to support team and organizational goals.
