Job summary

STV Incorporated is seeking a Water/Wastewater Intern in Houston, TX. The hybrid role requires three in-office days weekly and supports both undergraduate and graduate candidates for at least three months, potentially full-time.

The intern will assist with hydraulic calculations, pump sizing, design efforts for pipelines and facilities, and cost estimates under senior engineer guidance, gaining exposure to project management and client interaction.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited university or NCEES equivalent

Responsibilities

• Support pipeline hydraulic flow and pressure calculations
• Assist in pump calculations and system curves for sizing pumps
• Prepare construction and design cost estimates under the guidance of senior engineers
• Participate in planning and design of water and wastewater pipelines, pumping, storage, and treatment systems
• Assist in planning and design of water and wastewater facilities including pump stations and treatment plants
• Gain exposure to project management, client interface, and business development for future projects
• Conduct site visits during design and construction to observe installations
• Review shop drawings and submittals for design conformance
• Perform other tasks to support project goals and team objectives
