Job summary

STV Incorporated seeks a Water/Wastewater Engineering Intern to support pipeline hydraulics, pump sizing, and cost estimates while gaining exposure to project management and client interaction. The role is hybrid, with in-office requirements and potential for full-time commitment after completion.

Candidates should be pursuing an ABET-accredited civil, environmental, or mechanical engineering degree. Preferred candidates have interest in water and wastewater facilities and experience with

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited university or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Support pipeline hydraulic flow and pressure calculations.
• Assist in pump calculations and develop system curves for sizing pumps.
• Prepare construction and design cost estimates under guidance of senior engineers.
• Participate in planning and design of water and wastewater pipelines, pumping, storage, and treatment systems.
• Assist in planning and design of water and wastewater facility projects, including pump and lift stations and treatment plants.
• Gain exposure to project management, client interface, and business development for future projects.
• Conduct site visits during design and construction to observe installations.
• Review construction shop drawings and submittals for compliance with project documents.
• Perform other tasks to support project goals and team objectives.
