Job summary

STV, Inc. is seeking a Water/Wastewater Intern to join the team.

The role offers an opportunity for undergraduate and graduate candidates to learn from experienced engineers through meaningful projects in a hybrid setting requiring at least three days in the office. Preferred candidates are pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, or Mechanical Engineering and can participate for at least 3 months, with potential for full-time work.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, or Mechanical Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Support pipeline hydraulic flow and pressure calculations.
• Assist pump calculations and system curves for sizing pumps.
• Prepare construction and design cost estimates with guidance from senior engineers.
• Participate in planning and design of water and wastewater pipelines, pumping, storage, and treatment systems.
• Assist in planning and design of water and wastewater facilities including pump stations and treatment plants.
• Gain exposure to project management, client interface, and business development for future projects.
• Conduct site visits during design and construction to observe installations.
• Review shop drawings and submittals for design compliance.
• Perform other tasks to support project goals and team objectives.

Education

ABET-accredited university or NCEES equivalent
