Qualifications

  • 20+ years of water/wastewater consulting experience.
  • Strong understanding of the Florida municipal water/wastewater market.
  • Established client relationships and a successful business development track record.
  • Experience leading large or multidisciplinary engineering projects and teams.
  • Active PE license.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and project management capabilities.
  • Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

  • Lead multidisciplinary water/wastewater projects from planning through design, permitting, construction, and commissioning.
  • Oversee projects involving water distribution, wastewater collection, pump stations, storage, treatment facilities, and rehabilitation.
  • Manage project scope, budgets, schedules, staffing, quality, risk, and profitability.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with municipal and private-sector clients across Florida.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities; lead proposals and client development efforts.
  • Mentor and develop engineers, project managers, and technical staff.
  • Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to deliver multidisciplinary solutions.
  • Contribute to the strategic growth and development of the Florida Water practice.
  • Travel approximately 10-30% for meetings, project requirements, and BD.

A growing multidisciplinary engineering firm is seeking an Engineering Director to help lead and expand its Florida Water/Wastewater practice.

This is a senior leadership opportunity for a 20+ year water/wastewater professional with strong knowledge of the Florida municipal market, established client relationships, and a proven ability to combine technical leadership, project delivery, team development, and business development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead multidisciplinary water/wastewater projects from planning and design through permitting, construction, and commissioning.
  • Oversee projects involving water distribution, wastewater collection, pump stations, storage, treatment facilities, and infrastructure rehabilitation.
  • Manage project scope, budgets, schedules, staffing, quality, risk, and profitability.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with municipal and private-sector clients across Florida.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, leading proposals, presentations, and client development efforts.
  • Mentor and develop engineers, project managers, and technical staff.
