A growing multidisciplinary engineering firm is seeking an Engineering Director to help lead and expand its Florida Water/Wastewater practice.
This is a senior leadership opportunity for a 20+ year water/wastewater professional with strong knowledge of the Florida municipal market, established client relationships, and a proven ability to combine technical leadership, project delivery, team development, and business development.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead multidisciplinary water/wastewater projects from planning and design through permitting, construction, and commissioning.
- Oversee projects involving water distribution, wastewater collection, pump stations, storage, treatment facilities, and infrastructure rehabilitation.
- Manage project scope, budgets, schedules, staffing, quality, risk, and profitability.
- Develop and maintain relationships with municipal and private-sector clients across Florida.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, leading proposals, presentations, and client development efforts.
- Mentor and develop engineers, project managers, and technical staff.
- Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to deliver multidisciplinary solutions.
- Contribute to the strategic growth and development of the Florida Water practice.
- Expect approximately 10-30% travel for client meetings, project requirements, and business development.
Requirements
- 20+ years of water/wastewater consulting experience.
- Strong understanding of the Florida municipal water/wastewater market.
- Established client relationships and a successful business development track record/willingness to learn.
- Experience leading large or multidisciplinary engineering projects and teams.
- Active PE license.
- Strong leadership, communication, and project management capabilities.
- Valid driver's license.
