Overview

Regional Water & Wastewater Practice Lead – Florida

Base pay range: $200,000.00/yr - $230,000.00/yr. Salary: $200,000 – $230,000 plus 401k, Health Insurance, Vacation, PTO, and Bonus scheme.

About the Role

The Regional Water & Wastewater Practice Lead will provide overall leadership and direction for the Florida practice, with full responsibility for profit & loss management, strategic growth, and operational performance. This is a senior leadership role requiring a balance of technical expertise, business development acumen, and team leadership to drive the long-term success of the practice.

Responsibilities

• Lead the regional water and wastewater business, setting and delivering strategic and financial targets.
• Provide P&L management and develop growth strategies aligned with the firm’s long-term vision.
• Inspire, mentor, and retain a high-performing team, ensuring technical excellence and staff development.
• Oversee all aspects of project delivery including staffing, resource allocation, quality control, and compliance.
• Build and strengthen client relationships, while actively supporting business development and proposal efforts.
• Collaborate with senior leadership and other practice leaders across the company to maximize efficiency, staff utilization, and knowledge sharing.
• Position the firm as a trusted leader in water, wastewater, and stormwater services throughout the region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s preferred).
• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• 20+ years of progressive water/wastewater engineering experience, with at least 5 in a senior leadership role.
• Proven track record of leading regional operations or practice groups within a consulting environment.
• Strong business development skills, with the ability to win work and grow client accounts.
• Advanced knowledge of engineering design software (Revit, AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.) and QA/QC procedures.
• Demonstrated financial management experience, including P&L oversight.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage clients, staff, and stakeholders at all levels.
• A high-energy, results-driven leadership style, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
