Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
• PE license in California is required with reciprocity ability.
• 8–10 years in electrical engineering for water/wastewater industries.
• Proficient in NEC/NFPA 820 and lighting design tools.
• Experience with permitting review and cross‑disciplinary work.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical systems for water and wastewater facilities.
• Prepare contract documents: plans, specs, cost estimates.
• Design includes low/medium voltage, lighting, UPS, and batteries.
• Develop one-line diagrams, motor control, load calculations, voltage drop.
• Coordinate with utility companies for new services as needed.
• Perform power system studies: load flow, short circuit, arc flash.
• QC/QA of electrical plans, specs, and estimates.
• Field visits and site investigations for clients.
• Support construction with submittals, RFI responses, change orders.
• Mentor junior staff and collaborate across locations.
