Job summary

Parkhill is seeking a Civil Engineer-in-Training to support planning, design, and construction of water and wastewater projects under licensed engineers. You will assist with designs, technical docs, and project deliverables while pursuing licensure.

The position emphasizes collaboration, strong communication, and attention to detail, with opportunities to gain experience across design reviews, field observations, and construction-phase services in a full-time, on-site role in Amarillo.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.
• EI/EIT certification required.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and related design software.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• 1+ year of experience with water/wastewater projects preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in design through construction for water and wastewater projects.
• Prepare calculations, reports, plans, specs, and documents with AutoCAD.
• Collaborate with project teams to meet objectives, schedules, and quality.
• Conduct field observations, site visits, and inspections under limited supervision.
• Communicate with clients, regulators, and stakeholders, ensuring compliance with standards.
