Zusammenfassung

The City of Fort Worth Water Department’s Capital Delivery Division is seeking an Engineering Technician I to join its In-House Design Group. This role supports water and wastewater infrastructure projects for the Fort Worth community.

The selected candidate will work with professional engineers to prepare designs, drawings, specs, and cost estimates, interpreting plans and maps while maintaining precise records and ensuring alignment with City standards.

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid Class C driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to pass drug screen and physical.

Aufgaben

• Transform survey data and field notes into accurate designs and drawings for engineering and planning projects.
• Assist engineering staff with preparing designs, construction drawings, technical specifications, and project cost estimates.
• Review plans for compliance with City standards and accepted construction practices.
• Provide technical drafting, design, and project support to the In-House Design Group.
• Communicate with residents, contractors, and consultants regarding procedures and guidelines.
• Conduct project site visits to collect measurements and verify existing field conditions.
• Maintain accurate and organized engineering drawings, plans, and project records.
