Desoto Group Inc. seeks a qualified lead for a unit handling operational, construction, and maintenance activities in DeSoto, TX. You will plan, assign, and supervise tasks while coordinating between departments to ensure efficient work, safety, and compliance.

The role requires an associate degree and at least four years of related experience, plus a valid Texas driver’s license and state water/wastewater certifications. Strong record-keeping and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required and four years of related experience in crew construction or maintenance of water and wastewater systems.
• Possession of a valid Texas Class A or B driver's license with clean record.
• TCEQ Class C Water Distribution and Class II Wastewater Collection certificates or higher.

Responsibilities

• Lead a unit by assigning tasks, scheduling equipment, overseeing maintenance and repairs, enforcing safety practices, and resolving issues.
• Review and schedule priorities, file work orders, and refer jobs to contractors as needed.
• Promote a safe work environment by coordinating training and safety meetings and ensuring proper equipment use and risk management.
• Maintain records by entering work information, logging maintenance activities, and tracking job costs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
