Job summary

Wharton-Smith, Inc. is seeking an experienced Project Manager with a Water/Wastewater background for the Brevard County & Indian River County, FL area.

The role oversees projects from pre-construction to close-out, ensuring safety, owner satisfaction, cost, schedule, and quality control. Responsibilities include lead client and subcontractor coordination, cost tracking, schedule development, and ensuring contract compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or other relevant degree.
• Experience in water/wastewater construction is required.
• Five plus years of experience in engineering, construction, or related field; proven multimillion-dollar project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Build strong relationships with client/owner, architect, and engineer.
• Maintain a positive image of the company with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and team members.
• Develop and maintain the project schedule.
• Set up and maintain project cost accounting.
• Monitor budgets, schedules, cost reports and job progress and review with the project team on a weekly basis.
• Visit jobsites regularly to review progress, safety, and quality.
