Job summary

Wharton-Smith, Inc. is seeking an experienced Project Superintendent with a water/wastewater background to lead on Brevard County & Indian River County, FL projects.

You will direct daily field personnel and manage self-perform mechanical, yard piping and concrete crews, ensuring safety, quality, and on-time delivery. Responsibilities include short-term scheduling, permit coordination, field documentation, progress photos, material handling, subcontract coordination, and jobsite hiring.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising water or wastewater projects.
• Appropriate supervisory experience.
• Strong communication and people skills.
• Proficiency with MS Outlook, Word, Excel.
• Current training as Competent Person in Trenching, Scaffolds, Rigging, Confined Space, and Fall Protection.
• OSHA 10-hour, First Aid & CPR, SWPPP Inspector, silica, Risk Management, and Accident training current.
• History of successful completion of multi-million-dollar projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage mechanical, yard piping and concrete crews on water/wastewater projects.
• Maintain a safe workplace and administer safety policy.
• Ensure quality standards are met or exceeded.
• Short-term scheduling of manpower and equipment resources.
• Coordinate permit and regulatory inspections.
• Field document control including daily reports; progress photographs.
• Material handling, subcontract coordination, and jobsite hiring.
• As-Built drawings and post-construction review.
