Job summary

MGC Contractors, Inc. is seeking a Project Engineer to join our Arizona Division in the Phoenix metro area. You will coordinate general contracting activities, manage field and office tasks, and support project teams from pre-construction through closeout.

Ideal candidates hold a construction management degree, have strong communication skills, and are proficient with Microsoft Office. Prior construction experience is preferred; this role requires adaptability and teamwork on dynamic sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Construction Management or related program required.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Prior construction field experience preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) required.

Responsibilities

• General Contract and Subcontract administration.
• Construction scheduling.
• Procurement and expediting of material and equipment.
• Mechanical, electrical and piping systems coordination.
• Project cost review, reporting, updating, and accounting.
• Review of subcontractor applications for payment.
• Participation in project meetings.
• Supervision/coordination of subcontractors field installations.
• Review/negotiate change proposal pricing from subcontractors and prepare change proposals for self-performed work.
• Develop and maintain effective relationships with owners, vendors, subcontractors.
