Job summary

Metric Geo is seeking an experienced Project Manager for water and wastewater construction projects in Arizona. You will own delivery from preconstruction through closeout, coordinating with field teams, owners and subcontractors to ensure on-time, on-budget results.

The role requires 5+ years of PM experience in heavy civil or water/wastewater, with GC exposure and strong cost/schedule/change-management skills. Arizona familiarity is advantageous.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Project Management experience within heavy civil or water/wastewater construction.
• Strong experience delivering water treatment plants, wastewater treatment plants, pump stations and related infrastructure.
• General Contractor experience strongly preferred.
• Solid understanding of construction costs, scheduling, contracts and change management.
• Ability to lead project teams and communicate effectively with owners, subcontractors and field personnel.

Responsibilities

• Manage W/WW projects from preconstruction through final completion.
• Oversee budgets, schedules, cost controls and forecasting.
• Manage subcontractors, vendors and procurement.
• Lead project teams alongside Superintendents and field leadership.
• Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders and project documentation.
• Build and maintain relationships with owners and stakeholders.
• Monitor progress, quality and safety on the projects.
• Identify risks and resolve issues before delivery impact.
• Support estimating, preconstruction and handover activities.
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule and within budget.

A leading national General Contractor is looking to add an experienced Project Manager to its growing Water/Wastewater construction team in Arizona.

This is an opportunity to join an established contractor with a strong pipeline of complex water and wastewater infrastructure projects across the region. The successful candidate will take ownership of projects from preconstruction through closeout, working closely with field teams, owners, subcontractors and project stakeholders.

The Role

As Project Manager, you will be responsible for the overall delivery and commercial performance of water/wastewater construction projects, including:

• Managing W/WW projects from preconstruction through final completion
• Overseeing project budgets, schedules, cost controls and forecasting
• Managing subcontractors, vendors and procurement
• Leading project teams alongside Superintendents and field leadership
• Managing RFIs, submittals, change orders and project documentation
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with owners and project stakeholders
• Monitoring project progress, quality and safety
• Identifying project risks and resolving issues before they impact delivery
• Supporting estimating, preconstruction and project handover
• Ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule and within budget

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of Project Management experience within heavy civil or water/wastewater construction
• Strong experience delivering water treatment plants, wastewater treatment plants, pump stations and/or related process infrastructure
• Experience working for a General Contractor is strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of construction costs, scheduling, contracts and change management
• Ability to lead project teams and communicate effectively with owners, subcontractors and field personnel
• Arizona market experience is beneficial but not essential
• Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or a related discipline preferred
