Job summary

MGC Contractors, Inc. is seeking a Project Engineer to join our Arizona Division in the Phoenix metro area. This full-time role focuses on managing general contracting activities, coordinating with owners, subcontractors, and vendors to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Responsibilities include scheduling, procurement, field coordination, cost reporting, change order negotiations, and ensuring compliance with safety standards on site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related program is required.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) required.
• Effective communication skills both oral and written, and quick response time to inquiries.

Responsibilities

• General Contract and Subcontract administration.
• Construction scheduling.
• Procurement and expediting of material and equipment.
• Mechanical, electrical and piping systems coordination.
• Project cost review, reporting, updating, and accounting.
• Review of subcontractor applications for payment.
• Participation in project meetings.
• Supervision/coordination of subcontractors field installations.
• Review/negotiate change proposal pricing from subcontractors and prepare change proposals for self-performed work.
• Research and suggest options on construction means, methods and equipment.
• Develop and maintain effective relationships with owners, vendors, subcontractors.
