Job summary

Cape Fear Public Utility Authority is seeking a supervisor to lead a crew in the repair and maintenance of the water and wastewater system. The role includes directing activities, coordinating field crews, and ensuring safety and regulatory compliance on site.

The position requires CDL Class A, three years of construction experience, and the ability to work in on-call rotations. You’ll interact with internal teams and external agencies to ensure reliable service delivery.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid North Carolina CDL Class A required.
• Three years of construction work experience or related work experience.
• Class 1 Collections or C Distribution certification preferred.
• On-Call rotation with 30-minute response.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a crew in repair and maintenance of water and wastewater systems.
• Coordinate and assign the work of repair crews.
• Instruct crews in repair/maintenance of underground utilities.
• Install water and sewer mains and services.
• Respond to customer concerns; mark lines; complete paperwork in Maximo.
