Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Experience inspecting design, construction or maintenance in streets, drainage, water/sewer or bridges.
• Valid driver's license with clean record.

Responsibilities

• Conduct and perform a broad range of inspections on water and wastewater equipment.
• Investigate violations of federal, state, and local codes and ensure compliance.
• Issue notices of violation and conduct follow-up inspections with customers.
• Inspect complex construction projects and monitor progress with project managers.
• Maintain safe, functional water management infrastructure and equipment.
• Regulate ground transportation systems for city services.
• Inspect storm sewer systems and appurtenances for maintenance needs.
• Perform inspections in accordance with contract documents and safety standards.
