Job summary

Ardurra is seeking a water/wastewater inspector with extensive field experience in water and sewer construction. The role focuses on gravity sanitary mains, pump stations, water treatment and distribution, and related plant components in New Jersey.

The inspector will oversee field observations, construction management activities, and coordination with engineers and clients. A minimum of five years’ experience is required, with a strong emphasis on safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of construction observation or construction experience directly related to water supply and distribution systems, sanitary sewer collection, and roadway construction.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Must have computer literacy in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Perform constructability and plan reviews prior to construction and interface with design engineers.
• Perform construction management for projects involving water supply and sanitary distribution systems and wastewater plants; maintain a safe, neat job site.
• Inspect contractors’ work for conformance with plans, specifications, and regulatory requirements; communicate progress daily to the project manager.
• Attend and run pre-construction and weekly progress meetings; follow RFIs to keep projects on schedule.
• Conduct on-site observations to support engineers in determining contract compliance.
• Maintain a daily diary/logbook of observations and provide daily reports to engineers.
• Review payment applications with contractors and advise on progress payments.
