Job summary

Ardurra seeks a water/wastewater inspector with field experience in water and sewer construction to join our team in New Jersey. You will perform constructability reviews, manage field observations, coordinate with engineers, attend meetings, and ensure compliance with plans, specs, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of construction observation or construction experience directly related to water supply and distribution, sanitary sewer, water/wastewater treatment, or roadway construction.
• High School diploma or equivalent and computer literacy in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Perform constructability and plan reviews prior to construction and interact with the design engineer before bid.
• Provide construction management for projects involving water supply, sanitary distribution systems, and wastewater plants, ensuring site safety and orderliness.
• Inspect contractors work for conformance to plans, specifications, and regulatory requirements; communicate progress daily to the project manager.
• Attend and run pre-construction and weekly progress meetings; manage RFIs to keep project on schedule and coordinate with Engineering Team.
• Conduct on-site observations to aid engineers in determining work progress and compliance with contract documents; maintain daily activity logs and provide reports.
• Review payment applications with contractor and advise engineers on progress payments; be familiar with NJDEP procedures and requirements.
• Perform field testing of materials and startup and acceptance of equipment; prepare final punch list at substantial completion and support project closeout.
