Job summary

Ardurra seeks an experienced water/wastewater inspector in New Jersey to perform field inspections, project management, and construction observation for municipal and county projects. The role covers water and sewer systems, treatment facilities, and related infrastructure.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in water/wastewater inspections, strong communication, and a focus on safety and quality. A valid driver’s license is required and a comprehensive benefits package is offered.

Qualifications

• Experience in water/wastewater inspections and construction observation.
• Excellent communication with the public and project team.
• Self-motivated, organized, detail-oriented, and reliable.

Responsibilities

• Perform constructability and plan reviews with design engineers before bid.
• Provide construction management for water supply and sanitary systems projects.
• Inspect contractor work for compliance with plans, specs, and regulations; report progress daily.
• Attend and lead pre-construction and progress meetings; manage RFIs to keep schedule.
• Conduct on-site observations to verify work per contract documents and coordinate with the Engineer.
• Maintain diary/log of observations and provide daily reports including labor and equipment.
• Review payment applications with Contractor and advise on progress payments.
• Know NJDEP procedures for project management.
• Perform field testing of materials and start-up/acceptance of equipment.
• Prepare final punch list and conduct closeout review.
• Inspect worksites and coordinate with team; observe safety during full-time hours.
