Job summary

Indian Health Service, within the Sanitation Facilities Construction program, seeks a Construction Control Inspector to support engineers in inspecting water, wastewater, and solid waste facilities and to help with as-built documentation and reporting. This role requires compliance with federal standards and will report to supervisory engineering staff.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction inspection and ensuring compliance with contracted plans and specifications.
• Ability to observe worksites for safety and maintain daily project logs.
• Experience performing surveys, construction staking, and as-built development.
• Ability to review project plans and determine practicability prior to advertisement.

Responsibilities

• Performing construction inspection and ensure compliance with contracted plans and specification for community and individual water supply.
• Observing worksite and work activity to ensure a safe working environment.
• Maintaining a daily log of projects and record facts concerning work activity.
• Performing surveys for project designs, construction staking and as-builts.
• Preparing project reports and spreadsheets to track submittals, quantities installed, construction progress and payments.
• Reviewing project plans prior to contract advertisement to determine practicability.
