Job summary

Indian Health Service (IHS) Sanitation Facilities Construction is seeking a Construction Control Inspector to support engineering staff with field inspection, documentation, and compliance for community water, wastewater, and solid waste projects.

Responsibilities include reviewing plans and specs, conducting surveys and as-builts, maintaining daily logs, preparing reports, and ensuring safety on site; a federal background check and E-Verify are required.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of specialized experience reviewing construction schedules.
• Experience interpreting contract plans and specifications.
• Ability to prepare progress reports and track submittals and payments.

Responsibilities

• Perform construction inspection to ensure compliance with contracted plans and specifications.
• Observe worksite and activities to maintain a safe working environment.
• Maintain a daily log of projects and record facts concerning work activity.
• Perform surveys for project designs, construction staking and as-builts.
• Prepare project reports and spreadsheets to track submittals, quantities installed, construction progress and payments.
