Job summary

Indian Health Service - Sanitation Facilities Construction is seeking a Construction Control Inspector to support design and construction of water, wastewater, and solid waste facilities. The role reports to a Supervisory Engineer and involves inspection, safety oversight, logging, surveying, and reporting on multiple projects across diverse tribal environments.

Responsibilities include reviewing plans, maintaining records, and ensuring compliance with contract specs while supporting engineering

Qualifications

• At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-7 level or higher.
• Experience reviewing construction schedules and comparing progress to plans.
• Preparing progress reports and interpreting plans and specifications.
• U.S. Citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform construction inspection and ensure compliance with contracted plans and specs.
• Observe worksite to maintain a safe environment.
• Maintain daily logs of projects and record-keeping of work activity.
• Perform surveys for project designs, construction staking and as-builts.
• Prepare project reports and track submittals, quantities, progress, and payments.
• Review project plans prior to contract advertisement to determine practicability.
