Job summary

Protouch Staffing seeks an experienced Project Manager/Engineer for W/WWTP heavy civil projects in Kentucky. Responsibilities include managing projects from startup to completion, developing schedules, and coordinating with estimating and executive leadership to ensure successful execution.

The ideal candidate has 5–10 years in assistant PM or project engineer roles, strong negotiation skills, and knowledge of cost control, contracts, and procurement. Travel to field sites is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
• Equivalent education or relevant construction experience may be considered.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage W/WWTP construction projects from startup through project completion.
• Develop and maintain project schedules to ensure timely project delivery.
• Oversee project buyout activities with estimating teams.
• Manage submittals, RFIs, change orders, field orders, and project documentation.
• Lead planning meetings, progress meetings, and coordination meetings.
• Prepare agendas and facilitate project planning discussions.
• Execute cost-to-complete reports and project financial forecasting.
• Monitor project budgets, costs, and financial performance.
• Review and approve subcontractor and vendor payment applications.
• Analyze subcontractor billings and contract compliance.
• Track project materials, equipment, and procurement activities.
• Coordinate with estimating teams to develop cost proposals and owner estimates.
• Administer construction contracts and resolve contract-related issues.
• Manage subcontractor performance, negotiations, and dispute resolution.
• Coordinate payments with subcontractors and suppliers.
• Collaborate with executive leadership to ensure successful project execution.
• Mentor and develop Assistant Project Managers and Project Engineers.
• Maintain project logs, including RFIs, submittals, change orders, delays, and field directives.
• Participate in professional industry organizations and continuous professional development.
