Job summary

Tetra Tech is seeking a Civil/Environmental Engineering Intern or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) to join our Water/Wastewater team in Orlando, Florida. This role offers hands-on experience supporting municipal water and wastewater infrastructure, including collection systems, pump stations, storage, and treatment facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field.
• 0–2 years of relevant engineering experience, incl. internships or coursework.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; interest in municipal water and wastewater engineering.
• Effective communication and teamwork.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Assist with engineering design, hydraulic calculations, and analyses for water/wastewater projects.
• Prepare engineering reports, construction drawings, specs, cost estimates, and project docs.
• Research engineering standards, regulations, codes, and industry practices.
• Develop charts, figures, maps, tables, and other deliverables for projects.
• Assist with evaluating design options and potential solutions.
• Participate in field investigations, site visits, and construction observation.
